Pub Walks

Walking is something to be enjoyed by everyone, at times it can involve hard work, especially when you head off into the hills, but generally you get more out of a walk than the effort you put in.

Besides providing an interesting way to keep fit, you can see the countryside at its best with fascinating insights into wildlife, scenery and of course its weather. The attachments below show 3 different walks ranging from under 3/4's of an hour up to just over an hour than can be downloaded or printed out.

Walk 1 - River Whitewater and Greywell Moors 45min
Walk 2 - Basingstoke Canal and Whitewater Valley 1hr
Walk 3 - Greywell Hill and Butter Wood 1hr

We offer a "pre-walk" ordering service where you can reserve a table, order your food and drinks before you leave providing us with your estimated time of return. Your food and drinks will be ready for you shortly after your return.

We are also happy for walkers to use the car park and restroom facilities if they intend to pop in for lunch or a drink after their walk.

It is our intention to provide further walks in and around the area with downloadable Google maps and directions as well as .GPX files for mobile Sat Nav devices like the Garmin and iPhone.

This will allow us to record 'Waypoint's' on the route showing places of interest along with photograph's and additional information. This is currently a work in progress so please keep checking back as further walks will be added over time.
